Bilingual Post-secondary & Career Fair

November 30th, 2011

Dear Parents:

We are pleased to inform you that the next Bilingual Postsecondary & Career Fair will take place on February 1st to 3rd, 2012. As part of this initiative, a career fair as well as a gala will be organized on Friday, February 3rd, 2012, in St. John's (Centre des Grands-Vents, 65 Ridge Road).

For this new edition, we have decided to increase the scope of the event which will now take place over three days. The Canadian Space Agency will be participating and orientation workshops will be organized with educational counsellors from the Université du Québec. Labrador, the West Coast and the Avalon region will all be involved in the project.

A special guest (an Olympic gold medalist and maybe an astronaut) will be on hand during the gala to encourage our young Francophones and French-second language learners pursue their educational ambitions at the post-secondary level.

We would like to invite parents from our network to participate in the evening Gala (exact start time TBA). The fair will also be open to the public.

Your participation in this event will allow us to continue promoting bilingualism in Newfoundland and Labrador and give our youth the necessary tools to pursue bilingual careers in our province.

We invite you to visit the initiative's website today, where you can register online: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THE GALA

Please register as soon as you can. Admission is free, but the number of seats is limited.

We hope to see you on Friday, February 3rd, 2012, to be a part of an event which is quickly becoming one of the largest and most ambitious of its kind in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Provincial Election Candidate Questionnaire Results!

October 6th, 2011

We are starting to get many responses in from Candidates, including 2 out of 3 overall party responses. Some candidates have chosen to use the party's response itself, so we have listed below this post the 2 party responses we have.

New Democratic Party| Progressive Conservative

We have many individual responses as well, which we have provided in a file listed below. The file also lists who is using the Party Responses. If your district does not have any responses, we might not have them yet. However, we are still posting them as we get them in, so just keep checking back for updates.
